Our Art Collection
I finally have an art collection I really like. We’ve finally hung most of the pieces in our new apartment. Art (even the no-name artists I buy) is expensive and we have been adding 1-2 pieces per year. I love my collection but I’m far from an art snob. My 2 favorite pieces have Brooklyn as the subject and I don’t even know the artists name! Then I have a fantastic piece from my Uncle and 2 pieces from an old co-worker who worked in digital art. To have it all framed, stretched and hung makes me feel really great.
We are on the hunt for 1 or 2 more small pieces. I’ll have my eyes out this year! It’s so exciting to hunt for art, fall in love with a piece and then bring it home. It also takes patience to get the right pieces.
I love art in general. I went to 3 galleries in Europe last year. I have been to a few small galleries in NY. In 2008 I need to hit the major art museums in NY. MoMA, Guggenhiem, etc etc….
