Jets To Brazil - Sweet Avenue
Jets to Brazil have been one of my favorite bands for over 10 years. I was lucky enough to see them many years ago before they disbanded. Orange Rhyming Dictionary is my favorite of their 3 albums and has been in my permenant rotation year after year. Different songs speak to me at different times and tell me different things.
“Sweet Avenue” became a favorite of mine ever since I met the love of my life. This song is so beautiful and to me, it not only reminds me of when we first met but the transformation that it had on my life. Becky breathes life into me and the day I met her everything changed. Life was more intersting, the world was brighter and I was filled with an inspiration and creativity I had never felt before… a feeling I have never lost. These lines say it all:
now all these tastes improve
through the view that comes with you
